Virginia Cook, aka a girl and her bass,  is a singer/songwriter from the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.   While a visual artist, in 2019 she decided to  make the leap into the musical world as a bassist and harmony singer for the duo, Mike & Virgina, a duo known for it's  lively energy and graceful harmonies.   In 2023, as she wanted an outlet for her writing and distinct style,  she decided to step out as a solo artist, falling under the bluesy, jazzy, quirky umbrella
